Master's Message December 2025
Brethren! Happy Holidays!
This is such an enjoyable time of year as we get to spend time with loved ones and celebrate our Holidays. I am also reminded every year of how quickly our hourglass sands are flowing as I see my children get older, and we usher in yet another new year. That said, I also smile as I appreciate all of the manifold blessings that surround us, including our brothers in the craft.'
As I reflect on a wonderful November:
*We held a well attended monthly communication in which we were introduced to the practice of Transcendental Meditation and enjoyed W: Emery’s Thanksgiving Dinner. *Many Lafayette Brothers travelled to Mt. Moriah to see W: Andy Brown be installed as Master for the second time. Congrats W: Brown!
*We enjoyed another wonderful Lafayette Breakfast highlighted by B: Lane’s Pumpkin French toast and my daughter Charlotte collecting food items for the NRI food pantry.
*We enjoyed each other’s company at the Grand Lodge Fall Festival after a Semi-Annual meeting in which RW Gilbert Fontes Jr. was elected to be Grand Master in May.
The highlight for me though was to witness our current Grand Master promote W: Andy Sholes to RW! After learning about his years of service to the Jurisdiction, it is clear that the Craft are indebted to your tireless work RW: Sholes! Congratulations!
*Finally, we raised our 3 newest Brothers to Masonry via our EA Degree on Nov 18th! Welcome to Joe Dutra, James Vose, and Ryan Oldmixon!
I hope that you all enjoy the Holidays, and I look forward to seeing you at the December meeting and St John’s Night on Dec 21st!
Fraternally,
W:. Matt Ludwig
