Master's Message November 2025
Brethren,
It is an honor and privilege to have your support to be Master of Lafayette Lodge for 2025-2026. I look forward to following in the footsteps of so many incredible men that have served as Master of Lafayette Lodge. I also look back at the work of our Past Masters, and contemplate their efforts that have led us to be in such a good place as a Lodge. I hope that I have learned well enough in order to successfully continue their work as we move forward this year.
That being said, I refer you to the theme of Lafayette this year…. “Mind, Body, & Spirit”. This is both literal and figurative:
Literally, we spent the last year coming together as one Lodge in our successful merger with Redwood. We are now, thanks to fine work of many of our Brothers, one Body in Lafayette. We are spending time with our newest Brothers, and getting to know them better and better. This is how we come together as one Lodge in “Mind”. Finally, as we contemplate what we wish to do in the future as a Lafayette Brothers we will work towards coalescing that vision for the future which should empower our collective “Spirit”.
Figuratively, this theme is also consistent with the programs planned for this year. Each should, in some manner better serve us in one of these three categories. On that note, each program is also designed for us to be able to share our Lodge with the community. With programs designed for Masons and Non-Masons alike, I invite all of our Brethren to invite Friends, Family, etc. to each of our meetings in so that more of the community might know the good work that we do, maybe even
more importantly, the wonderful men that call themselves Lafayette Masons.
Fraternally,
W: Matt Ludwig
