Wishing all of you a Happy New Year! I hope you and your families had a great holiday season.
With the new year upon us, we look to challenge ourselves and push our expectations to do better. During this time of quiet reflection on the year gone by, I can’t help but think of the basic principles of Freemasonry. We are taught to divide our time wisely and continue to walk uprightly, recounting the good and bad of the past year and learn from the experience. Perhaps this time of year is merely a reminder for us to remember what matters most and to ensure that we bring balance to our life with positive influences overriding the negative ones.
As my time in the East progresses, I’m constantly reminded of the impact that we as Masons, have amongst ourselves, our community and our families. I value our beliefs and hold close to heart the lessons that our craft teaches us. These values will be represented when we welcome our R.W. District Deputy Grand Master Douglas Grant to our lodge, for his official visitation. Brother Marshall, Koby Rosenbaum, has arranged a high-level presentation by professionals from the Boston hospital on the amazing, life-saving work being performed in the name of the Masonic concordant body -the Shriners.
Please join us in lodge, satisfy your soul and get a fresh start to the new year. I look forward to seeing you.
Kind Fraternal Regards,
Worshipful Matt Yaffe
