I want to thank those who attended and assisted in making Redwood’s Table Lodge such a success. It was not only well attended, but full of fellowship and brotherly love. Our newest Entered Apprentice initiates, as well as our junior officers made every effort to ensure that we were all well taken care of during the evening. In conversation, our Most Worshipful Grand Master mentioned to me how wonderful it was to observe many brothers of diverse backgrounds, meeting upon the level, breaking bread and creating bonds, and I couldn’t agree more!
On the surface we are all different, however beneath the surface our similarities are far greater than our differences. Seeing this and understanding it makes people feel welcome. It is the experience of feeling commitment, the feeling that someone cares. This feeling was apparent at our Entered Apprentice Degree; from the passion and commitment from our officers to the presentation of lectures that captured the brothers attention. What an amazing evening!
I am so proud as we anxiously await the next degrees. Until we meet again, let us all be reminded that life is a team sport. The more great people you surround yourself with, the more you will achieve. Teamwork is about coming together to achieve a common goal. Just having a team is simply not enough. How the team feels towards one another determines the level of success.
Please join us at our next regular communication on December 9th. We will enjoy our Annual Redwood deli night and hear about the Ten Mile River Watershed Council from my friend, Keith Gonsalves. I look forward to seeing you in lodge.
Kind fraternal regards,
“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” --Andrew Carnegie
